"I hired juliewatsonstyle to be my personal wardrobe consultant. They came to my house and edited my closet by having me try on every article of clothing. I’d accumulated these outfits for years. They edited the clothes to keep and to give away or throw out. Trying on everything in my closet was quick-it took about two hours, Paulson says. "We separated the clothes in to categories labeled ‘don’t keep’, ‘maybe keep’ and ‘keep’. We figured out what I needed to complete my wardrobe-more tops and long cardigan sweaters-and scheduled a shopping day with a plan. We started at Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s and shopped for two hours, Paulson says. "I donated old things to Bottomless Closet (a women’s non-profit organization) , and some had tags still on them-that was embarrassing."
